Introduction

PERNIX is an intelligent email security solution which identifies and nullifies email-based attacks before they reach your inbox, while also protecting you from fraud and scams, so you can be confident that all emails you receive are free from infection.

This user guide gives details about:

PERNIX banner
Appears on every email you receive, to help you understand the nature of each email quickly and easily.
PERNIX email protection manager
Allows you to view, manage, and release quarantined emails.
Pernix Banner
The PERNIX banner appears on every email you receive. It uses a simple traffic light rating system, and is split by sender and content analysis to make it easy to see at a glance why a particular email may present a security risk, and which aspects could pose a threat.

PERNIX has protected you and your files from any issues. However, if you think the email is from a safe and genuine source, you can access it and request its release via the PERNIX email protection manager control.

Amber banner messages

If you are unsure about any of the warning messages shown on the PERNIX Banner, please speak to your IT department. You can review all your received and sent emails in the PERNIX email protection manager.

Green banner messages

You can review all your received and sent emails at any time in the PERNIX email protection manager.

Further actions
View email info

Clicking on the 'View email info' link provides an in-depth analysis of your email, including routing data and a map, and detailed explanations of any issues PERNIX scans have identified.

Reporting emails as suspicious

If you receive an email that you think may include suspicious content, please click the 'Report as suspicious' link in the banner to email us. Include any details to help us investigate the issue.
